2018 Feb 20

Kathryn Vines of Kennesaw was one of two Kennesaw State University's College of the Arts alumni named to Graphic Design USA's "Students to Watch 2018" list.

Recent alumni Audrey Arnold and Katie Vines were among 75 students from universities throughout the U.S. named to GDUSA's annual list. Both women were nominated by faculty in the College's School of Art and Design at Kennesaw State.

Each year, Graphic Design USA magazine, an information resource for graphic design professionals, identifies top students, both undergraduate and graduate students, who have found personal and professional growth through their academic programs and are "ready to burst on the design scene."

Since graduation in 2017, both women have landed graphic design jobs within the flooring industry.

Currently employed as a graphic designer for Mohawk Industries, Arnold earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic communications in December. She also participates in set dressing for a local theater group and has acted in several musical productions and plays. While at KSU, she was a member of the Graphic Design Club.

Vines earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic communications in May 2017 and now works as a senior graphic designer at Shaw Floors, where she creates email newsletters, catalogs, vehicle wraps, signs and other graphics for the Hard Surfaces Retail division. During college, Vines interned with Shaw Floors and Heidelberg, USA and was a member of the Graphic Design Club and the American Institute of Graphic Arts.
