KSU's future scientists made discovery the theme for their summer experiences at a major laboratory. Recent graduate Micah Holston, senior Jack Smith and junior Jonathan Ridley interned at the Air Force Research Laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico, learning about national defense applications for engineering, computer science, and physics.

An early morning phone call confirmed for Raymond Kalra what once felt like a long shot - he had been selected for a competitive internship with NBC's The Today Show. Out of more than 500 applicants nationwide, the Kennesaw State journalism and emerging media student was one of only four chosen for the internship, which runs from September to April.

This summer, Corey Mack is trading the classroom for a cyber command center. The Kennesaw State University computer engineering and cybersecurity dual major has been selected for the prestigious VICEROY MAVEN Internship, a Department of Defense program focused on cutting-edge research in cybersecurity and electromagnetic spectrum operations.

Four Kennesaw State University students are participating in the Georgia Legislative Internship Program (GLIP) during the current General Assembly session. The GLIP students work with legislators, their committees, and their staff during the annual 40-day legislative session while receiving course credit.

Each spring, college students are selected for the Georgia Legislative Internship Program to experience the legislative process up close. During the current General Assembly session, five Kennesaw State GLIP interns - all political science majors - shared their highlights, expectations and motivations for participating in the program.

It's all physics all the time for Kennesaw State junior Christopher Woolford, between his coursework, lab research and virtual internships with both NASA's Glenn Research Center and the Department of Energy's Fermi National Laboratory. And it's the life he has wanted since developing a love of physics in high school.

Emily Apodaca and Anderson John both developed an interest in criminal justice well before they started college. Now, as Kennesaw State University seniors, they are gaining valuable experience in that field by interning with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Several Kennesaw State University students are interning this semester in the fast-paced environment of state government as part of the Georgia Legislative Internship Program (GLIP).

April Breedlove's passion for computers and coding, combined with her fierce perseverance, has earned her a prestigious internship at Disney World this summer. Breedlove, a junior majoring in computer science, will work as a software engineering intern with Walt Disney Attractions Technology.
