Kennesaw State University senior Deja Boney has been named a 2025 Newman Civic Fellow, a national recognition honoring students who demonstrate leadership qualities and a strong commitment to community service. Boney, who is pursuing a degree in information systems, has led impactful service initiatives on and off campus.

Assistant principal sharpens leadership skills through KSU doctoral program

While enrolled in the educational leadership doctoral program at Kennesaw State University, full-time assistant principal and mother of two Jennifer Wilson had classes to take and research papers and discussion posts to write. Graduating this May, Wilson will be the first in her family to have earned a doctorate.

While double majoring in environmental science and theatre and performance studies, James is a senator for sustainability in the Student Government Association and president of the EcoOwls student organization.

Kennesaw State students Gabriela Citino, Dinesh Reddy and Md Jobair Hossain Faruk have been chosen to participate in RCE Greater Atlanta's SDG Futures Fellowship, aiming to make a difference in the world through sustainable development education and leadership. The SDG Futures Fellowship strives to educate participants on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, as well as develop leadership and professional skills.
